Family Guy Full Episodes Series 1

Who knew on January 31, 1999, when we watched the first show of Family Guy Full Episodes what a huge success it would be. As we know there are many animated shows that do very well on TV. Yet in turn we also know there are many that do not last at all. As well it’s also always unknown as to Family Guy Full Episodeswhat people are going to think is funny and worth watching every week. Generally shows the depict any class of individuals that are below the perceived norm is usually a good bet. So maybe this was the right time for the entrance of the wonderful Griffin family.

The lovely Griffin families, quite the dysfunctional family, to everyone except the Griffin family. There is the father Peter, the mother Lois, daughter Meg, son Chris, baby Stewie and their anthropomorphic dog Brian. They all reside in their lovely hometown of Quahog. The creator of the Family Guy, Seth McFarlane, also lent his voice to this show as one of the Griffins as well as he was one of the producers. The very first episode was broadcast right after Super Bowl XXXIII and was watched by an estimated 22.01 million viewers. There was a lot of praise from most critics and generally was received very well. There was some dislike as to the themes of the shows, though the majority quite enjoyed the dysfunction of the Griffin family and the uniquely human acting dog.

The idea for Family Guy Full Episodes was conceived in 1995 by Seth MacFarlane. He created his thesis film The Life of Larry which was submitted to Hanna-Barbera and he was hired by the company. In 1996 MacFarlane created a sequel to it called Larry and Steve, which Larry was a middle aged man and a dog named Steve. This short was broadcast and Fox saw it and called MacFarlane and the rest is history, as they say. The characters of Peter and Brian were inspired by the Larry show and expanded from there. MacFarlane was well on his road to fame with his new show Family Guy. There were seven episodes in the opening season which ran from January 1999 to May 1999. Let’s take a look at each of the shows:

Death has a shadow

This was the very first show ever of Family Guy. The show starts with Peter applying for welfare after he lost his job. He does this to support his family, then he gets a cheque in the mail. They have misplaced the decimal point and the check is for $150,000, Peter takes the cheque and uses it to buy lavish gifts for the

family. When Lois gets the real cheque in the mail she, always being the logical one, is upset at Peter. Wanting to make Lois happy Pater and Brian drop the surplus money out of a blimp above and during Super Bowl XXXIII. Both are arrested for their antics and taken to jail. Lois, explaining the situation, pleads with the courts to be lenient.

I never met the dead man

This is the show where Peter becomes addicted to TV. While driving Meg home Peter is distracted from TV in one of the homes they drive by. He crashes into the cities cable transmitter, and reception is down for all of Quahog. He does convince his daughter Meg to take the blame for him. When Meg confesses that Peter did do it the whole town turns on him. That is until dear Lois once again steps forward to save him. This does work temporarily and Peter inspired takes his family all over to different functions. He then meets William Shatner. Meg, learning how to drive, hits a rainstorm where she kills Shatner and injures Peter.

Chitty Chitty Death Bang

This is the show for Stewies first birthday. Peter accidentally loses the reservation for the birthday party. Peter needs to try another plan for a party and when he fails to do so he reroutes a circus parade into his backyard. Meanwhile Stewie confuses his birthday with the Man in White who delivered him as an infant. He thinks he’s coming back to put him back into Lois’ womb. Peter gives Meg permission to go to a friend’s party, which actually turns into a cult party and they are all going to do mass suicide. Before Meg can drink the drink Peter stops her. The cult leader notices Meg didn’t drink the drink and puts on his white robe and heads to her house. Stewie sees the cult leader traps and kills him thinking he is the Man in White.

Mind over Murder

Stewie begins teething and Lois tells him the pain will go away in time so he builds a time machine. Meanwhile Lois asks Peter to take Chris to a soccer game, while there Peter punches a pregnant lady in the tummy and is put under house arrest. Peter getting bored being at home opens a bar in his basement so he can see his friends. Lois doesn’t like this idea till she gets to sing at the bar. Peter becomes jealous. A cigarette starts a fire and they attempt to escape. Stewies time machine takes everyone back to when Peter was asked to take Chris to the game; he then destroyed the time machine.

A Hero Sits Next Door

After Peter injures the newest Happy Go Lucky employee during softball practice he is ordered to find a replacement. Meanwhile Lois is welcoming the new neighbors. Peter hears Joe, the new neighbor, used to play ball so invites him to be the replacement. He then discovers Joe is in a wheelchair. Despite the chair Joe helps them to win the game and Peter is jealous of course. In attempts to become a hero Peter tries to stop a bank robber. He ends up hostage until Joe saves him. This is disappointing to Peter yet his family tells him they are proud.

The Son Also Draws

Show #6 starts with Chris being ejected from the youth scouts when he ran over the troop leader with a car. Peter is mad and packs the family in the car to take Chris back. At a pit stop at a Native American Casino Lois becomes addicted and loses the family car. Peter pretends to be Native American to get it back. He is sent on a vision quest to prove this and Chris goes with him. They return to the casino and get the car.

Brians Portrait of a Dog

A heat wave has hit Quahog. Wanting to buy air conditioning the Griffins ask Brian to enter a dog show for the $500 first place prize. The show covers arguments between Brian and Peter and in the end Brian is back home.

This is just a recap of the first season, and what a season. Family Guy Full Episodes has caught the hearts of millions and they are anticipating the seasons to come. It’s exciting to see what MacFarlane has in store for next year.

Family Guy Full Episodes and the Characters

Well the second season of Family Guy started September 23, 1999 to August 1, 2000. There were 23 Family Guy Full Episodes this season. Each one of them as absurd and hilarious as the next.  Critics actually called it extremely witty and darkly hilarious. There are many things that Family Guy has been called like sick, twisted, politically incorrect and just plain freakin sweet. It is really hard to pinpoint why this show has such a following and what draws viewers to it.  Maybe it’s the list of characters and their funny yet sometime strange antics. Maybe it’s the human nature thing to actually see someone more absurd then we are, it’s reassuring. It’s possibly many of the things that happen in the show many of us can relate to. Whether it’s happened to us or it’s something we wanted to do.

I am sure a large part of it is the characters; let’s take a closer look at each of them:

Peter Griffin

Here we have the patriarch of the Griffin family. I am quite sure he has no idea what that word means or would he even care. I am sure there is a little bit of Peter in each and every one of us. Peter loves to have a beer now and again at the Drunken Clam. Yet it seems like his passion are harebrained schemes and public nudity. He is head of the household yet many times we wonder why, and truly we all know Lois is. Not a particularly competent father, he is irresponsible, obese, immature, loud mouthed and dim witted.  Creator Seth MacFarlane does the voice here.

Lois Griffin

This is definitely the voice of reason in the Griffin Family Guy house. We are all quite familiar with the high pitched voice and we love her just the same. Lois is always there to get him out of his harebrained schemes. I truly think she is the only woman that is capable of tolerating Peter. Mind you over the years we have seen a bit of a quirky side of Lois. She is a stay at home mother who juggles her piano lessons, kids and Peter all in one day.  Alex Borstein does her voice.

Meg Griffin

The adorable, wise and quite often rebellious daughter. Mind you she is portrayed as the self conscious and unattractive teenage girl. She is treated by the family as an outcast. There are moments though when I feel she is the closest to the normal one. Mila Kunis does her voice.

Stewie Griffin

This toddler is bent on world domination and bound and determined he will get it.  He is inventive and quite a wisecracker. His ideas and plots are crazy silly yet interesting in a weird sort of way. Oh yes can’t forget his mission to find the perfect pair of snug jeans He is also a child genius who aspires to murder his mother by the time he is 1, which he has been since the show started. .Seth MacFarlane does this voice as well.

Chris Griffin

Learning and self discovery…would be a great way to explain Chris. He is exactly your typical teenager. His aspirations need work as he wants to be as stupid as his father when he grows up.

Brian Griffin

This is the Family Guy anthropomorphic talking dog. He is seen as an intellectual who never quite agrees with Peters antics and is quick to point them out. He is an alcoholic, a smoker and unsuccessfully aspires to be an author. He is voiced by Seth MacFarlane as well.

There are truly so many things that are funny about this show. One of the funniest is the quotes that come out on the show. Let’s take a look at some of the funniest and most popular ones:

  • Peter Griffin- All right, All right, make like Siamese twins and split…and then one of you die
  • Stewie Griffin- I’ve sprouted another finger, counting the one from yesterday, I’m up to 11
  • Stewie Griffin- I want pancakes, God, do you people understand every language except English? Yo quiero pancakes! Domez moi pancakes! Click click bloody click pancakes!
  • Peter Griffin- Dear McGyver. Enclosed is a paper clip, a rubber band and a drinking straw. Please save our dog.
  • Stewie Griffin- You knows, I rather like this God fellow. He’s very theatrical. A little pestilence here, a plaque there…omnipotence…got  to get me some of that
  • Stewie Griffin- I will not stand idly by while you abrogate my plans! You shall rue this day!… Well, go on, start ruing!
  • Stewie Griffin- There’s always been a lot of tension between Lois and me, and it’s not so much that I want to kill her, it’s just, I want her not to be alive anymore
  • Peter Griffin- And Joe, I’ve never had neighbors before, but none of them were half the man you are. Since you’re half a man already, that splits them into some kind of fraction I can’t even measure
  • As we all know Christmas is that mystical time of year when the ghost of Jesus rises from the grave to feed on the flesh of the living. So we all sing Christmas carols to lull him back to sleep.

As is apparent from the quotes above the Griffin family is just a different breed. Yet honestly there is just something fun and passionate about Family Guy Full Episodes that draws us back season after season.

Family Guy Full Episodes and Where It All Started

I think it’s safe to say that if you’re looking for Family Guy Full Episodes then you are at least familiar with what Family Guy is. I am also sure the majority of us have watched at least one episode. There must be a lot of people watching it as it s still going strong today, yet it did have a rough go of it after season 2. January 1999 saw the debut of Family Guy. The opener was a hit and then came 1 episodes of season 2. September 23, 1999 season 2 started on a new night and time. Sadly the ratings declined drastically during the second season. Fox cancelled the regular showing of Family Guy and started showing them sporadically. Fox did cancel then at the last minute stated it was ordering 13 episodes for a third season. It came back November 2001 and again had a difficult slotting between Survivor and Friends.

It was then officially cancelled and then showed up on the Adult Swim and immediately became the blocks top rated program. DVD’s of season 1 and 2 came out at this time as well and sold 400,000 in one month. It became the highest selling DVD in 2003 and the second highest selling DVD of all time for a TV show. Due to its popularity in DVD sales Fox was again interested. In 004 they ordered 35 new episodes of the show, making it the first revival of a TV show based on DVD sales.

The success of the show is amazing, at best. It was said to be “nasty but extremely funny” and this about sums it up. Really a dog who wants to kill his Mom how American is that. It is said to be a pop culture masterpiece. There is also argument that says the show did get better after its revival. Seattle Times said it was “endless craving for humor about bodily emissions. It is the second highest viewed show after Saturday Night Live.

Then there are awards and recognition. Family Guy full episodes and its cast has been nominated for 13 Emmy Awards, with four wins. The show was nominated for eleven  Annie awards and won three times. It has also been nominated and won awards at The Teen Choice Awards and The People Choice Awards. So is this Family Guys last season? Since its revival it has held its own in all the rating and done exceptionally well. Which is nice as it proved it was a great show with lots of potential. Truly shows you what proving what you feel and living out your dream can do.

As we all know Family Guy is an amazingly funny show but what do we really know about it? Below are some interesting and funny facts about the show:
